We have included an estimation of the number of hours needed to complete each project. However, the actual number of hours will vary. For example, if your organization has never written a grant proposal, more hours may be required to develop the proposal language. If your organization has completed several proposals and has already developed strong proposal language, the process may take fewer hours. If your organization has a proposal ready to submit, we can also provide a final proof and feedback in just a couple of hours.

Funding Research

Successful grants start with research. E² Consulting can help you connect with the grant-makers most likely to fund your organization by identifying the funders that best align with your goals. Our comprehensive research reports identify private, corporate, state, and federal sources of funding. Each report includes suggested funding strategies, deadlines for upcoming grants, and the contact information for all identified funders. We provide the following three levels of funding research:  

The Basic Research Report

With approximately15 hours of research, we’ll identify a list of funders that, based on preliminary research, appear to align with your organization’s needs.  

The Advanced Research Report

With approximately 25 hours, we’ll create an Advanced Research Report with more extensive research. Research will include a thorough review of grant-makers’ websites and past grantees. 

The Summit Research Report

With approximately 40 hours, E² Consulting will develop a Summit Research Report. We’ll conduct all of the research described in the other reports as well as an assessment of IRS information to determine funding trends. We’ll also make preliminary phone calls to potential funders to determine their level of interest in your type of organization and/or project and to begin the relationship-building process.  

Grants Calendar

E² Consulting Grants Calendars help you stay organized and avoid rush jobs. We’ll create a 12-month calendar that includes every grant your organization intends to apply for and provide you with reminders for both project and proposal development.

From Concept Papers to federal proposals, E² Consulting strives to put the right words in the right place to create a clear, compelling document. A Concept Paper (10 hours) establishes language that will be the backbone of future proposals. A Case for Support (15 hours) establishes the need for your program or project. A Letter of Inquiry or Interest (20 hours) is often the first step in the proposal process with foundations.

Occasionally our clients contact us for other writing projects as well. While we will not pretend to be experts in all writing formats, we are more than happy to assist in whatever way we can.
